Richard A. Stanfel is a seasoned Private Wealth Advisor with over three decades of experience in financial services. His career began on the trading floors of the CME Group (formerly CBOT) as an independent floor trader—a fast-paced environment that taught him the value of discipline and strategic thinking. Over time, Rich built and managed his own trading, brokerage, and clearing firm before transitioning to wealth management at Wells Fargo Advisors in 2010. In 2022, he partnered with Robert Weis to establish Center Coast Private Wealth Management, where he continues to guide clients with clarity and confidence.
Rich holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation, a credential that required him to complete an approved education program, pass a rigorous exam, and meet strict experience standards. He believes financial planning is deeply personal and takes time to understand each client’s goals, values, and aspirations—crafting strategies that are designed to support long-term success and confidence.
A graduate of Ohio University with dual degrees in Finance and Management, Rich was a scholarship athlete and starting center for the MAC Conference Champion and NCAA Tournament basketball teams. His competitive spirit carried him into professional basketball before beginning his finance career.
Outside of work, Rich enjoys traveling with his wife, Mary Roxanne, and supporting her efforts on the Auxiliary Board of The Ross K. MacNeill Foundation for Pediatric Brain Cancer Research. He starts most mornings with a 5 a.m. workout, plays paddle tennis several times a week, and loves relaxing on the beach with a good book and a cold beverage.
Rich and Mary Roxanne live in Lake Bluff with their dog, Oliver, an Australian Shepherd/Poodle mix.
