Robert H. Weis brings over 32 years of experience in the financial services industry. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. After graduation, Robert began his career at Marsh & McLennan as an actuary, advising large corporate pension plans. In 1993, he transitioned to Wells Fargo Advisors as a Financial Advisor, where he has since provided personalized, high-quality financial guidance to individuals.
Robert earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation in 1999. Achieving this credential required completing an approved education program, passing a rigorous examination, and meeting stringent experience requirements. Robert also adheres to a strict Code of Ethics and fulfills annual continuing education requirements to stay current on planning strategies and financial trends. His experience has been recognized by Forbes, naming him among Illinois’ “Best-in-State Wealth Advisors” from 2019 to 2024, most recently ranking 41st in the state of Illinois (excluding Chicago) in 2022.
Robert likes to relax outside the office playing paddle tennis, biking, skiing and following his favorite sports teams.
He and his wife Carolyn reside in Lake Bluff and enjoy traveling, supporting local community events and spending time with their 6 adult children and 5 grandchildren
